JNE Automation is a multi-faceted organization of highly experienced personnel that is fully equipped to provide our clients with a variety of custom process control solutions designed to meet their specific needs, with various levels of sophistication.
We have undertaken several process control system upgrades over the past few years that leverage the diversity and power of integrated architecture systems to replace the traditional DCS and PLC solutions that were installed in the last few decades.
We have provided our clients with complete systems of hardware and programming such that they have been instituted as global standards in the particular production process to ensure consistency in product and production worldwide.
We have a custom panel shop where we build the power distribution and control panels and maintain control over costs and quality. Our panel shop is UL certified for both Canadian and U.S. markets and is ISO 9001:2008 certified.
Our people, include managers and engineers from a variety of fields, bring to the company a wealth of experience with strong diversified skills, process capability and an entrepreneurial spirit. We provide our clients with all of the components necessary for successful project completion including; preliminary studies, project design and construction management, process implementation and complete commissioning.
Key Capabilities:
* Complete systems that include: functional descriptions; hardware specifications; software programming; HMI programming; installation design; commissioning.
* Project support that includes: panel building; multi-discipline engineering.
Core Competences:
Mining and Metals Sector: With specific focus to the metals industries, we have worked with all of the major clients on a global level, to provide new installations, upgrades and retrofits across all of the business units within the industry that have resulted in improved process control, yield and lower costs. Examples include replacement of DCS/PLC control systems on blast furnaces, continuous casters and basic oxygen furnaces with modern, redundant, integrated architecture control systems that utilize the best approach of both, while providing a single operator interface for the process. These systems provide an easy, process specific, interface for operations and maintenance which includes asset management, change control, data and event history and network management.
Consumer Products Sector: In this consumer market driven sector we have proven ourselves to be both innovative and schedule cognisant. Our clients require our solutions to be cost aggressive, immediately implementable, and easily adaptable to accept new process demands. We have provided conceptual design basis for client reviews and appropriation grade cost estimates to assist in their evaluation of the viability of the project. We have provided such innovative and cost aware solutions in design and implementation of a PLC /PC based platform to replace the legacy DCS systems. This platform was designed to become the global standard and was installed in nine plants in nine different countries. A secondary development to this system was to add in a bar code based control system that tracked raw material usage and final product packaging. The main objective was to ensure consistent product quality, efficiency, reliability and rapid new product launch capability across all global manufacturing sites, including provisions for best-in-class strategies for material handling, processing equipment and controls, CIP/SIP systems and procedures.
Pharmaceuticals Sector: Much of the services provided by JNE Automation for this sector applied to building life services. This included air quality systems by controlling access to production rooms via security pass cards and air locks, emergency ventilation / containment controls, and suitable lab air filtration sensing analyzers. We have also provided automated production of single batch tablet manufacturing, implementing the ISA-SP88 guidelines for batch control. We also provided product process production validation services for compliance to CFR21 Part II of the FDA regulations.
